About Us

The YPC Foundation was created to manage fundraising activities and distribute proceeds generated by these fundraising activities in order to benefit Chicago-centric, non-profit organizations, particularly those with young professional leadership or involvement. In addition to supporting organizations through financial assistance, the YPC Foundation provides volunteers to benefit an organization in specific functional areas where support is needed.

The YPC Foundation is managed by an Executive Board and Board of Directors. The Executive Board is in place to guide the strategic vision of the YPC Foundation and the activities of the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is in place to identify benefactor organizations, diligence interested organizations, raise funds for the YPC Foundation, decide on appropriate distributions and provide ongoing volunteer support of the selected beneficiary organizations. The Board of Directors is structured as a “give-or-get” board, with each Director committing to giving or raising a predetermined amount of money for the YPC Foundation each year. The Board is organized into five distinct verticals within the non-profit community in Chicago:

  • Arts/Culture/Humanities/Recreation
  • Education/Research
  • Environment/Wildlife
  • Health/Human Services
  • Public/Societal Benefit

Each Board Member is assigned to a vertical, and Board members within each vertical are diversified by industry/professional experience level in order to provide well-rounded support to the beneficiary organizations.
